Challenges – Site Safety & Hillside Foundations  

The section is very steep so the idea of a pool and basketball court was ambitious to say the least. We made these elements possible through clever collaboration between the client, landscape architect and earthworks supplier. The 217 square metre house sits across two levels. The hillside site required complex foundations which needed to be completed in winter. It took eight weeks to complete the foundations but hard work got us across the line. The section adjoined a public walkway which meant we took extra measures to make sure the site and those around were safe.   

Outcome – Glamorous Hilltop Home

While we did our best to keep good relationships with the neighbours, it is impossible not to be at least a little bit envious of this incredible architectural build. Once inside you’re greeted by uninterrupted views all the way to the Kaikoura Ranges. Encapsulating three bedrooms, two living areas, plus the thoughtfully designed outdoor living this home is truly breathtaking.
